Like many others, the SCS.com staff has placed the USC Trojans atop its preseason poll. Pete Carroll's squad was voted the best team in America, with Texas and Michigan following closely behind. LSU and Wisconsin round out the Preseason Fab 15's top five.
Big East rivals Louisville and West Virginia are next in line, followed by former Big East power Virginia Tech. Oklahoma and defending national champion Florida complete the top ten. On-the-rise UCLA is ranked eleventh, one spot ahead of last year's national runner-up, Ohio State. Each with their high-powered offenses, Rutgers, Calfornia, and Hawaii complete the preseason poll.
