2006 SCS.COM FINAL COLLEGE FOOTBALL FAB 15
January 9, 2007

SCS.com After trouncing Ohio State in the BCS Championship Game Monday night, the Florida Gators will finish the season ranked number one in the SCS.com Fab 15, as voted on by the site's staff. SEC rival LSU moved up a couple of places to finish second, while Ohio State - who had topped the poll since August - dropped to number three. Unbeaten Boise State leaped to number four after their miraculous win over Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl, and Southern Cal rounds out the top five.

Wisconsin, who lost just once this season, finishes sixth, while Louisville is seventh. Michigan fell hard after their Rose Bowl loss and comes in at number eight before Auburn and West Virginia complete the top ten. Oklahoma remains in the poll at eleven, while Rutgers, California, and BYU moved into the ranking and take up the next three slots. This is the only Fab 15 appearance of the season for the Cougars. SEC West champ Arkansas completes the postseason poll.

Notre Dame, Wake Forest, and Virginia Tech all dropped out of the Fab 15 after bowl losses, but each was still among the top 25 vote-getters. Hawaii just missed an appearance in the poll, as did Texas and Penn State. Also receiving substantial votes were Oregon State, Georgia, TCU, and Tennessee.
