It is never too early to start talking about the NCAA Tournament. The Tournament is always the ping of spring as the 64 best teams get together to determine who will go to Omaha and take home the College World Series title.
The format that has been utilized since 1999 is one of the best tournament forms ever implemented in any sport at any level. The classic double-elimination format is played in the NCAA Regionals and the College World Series, while the Super Regionals are a best-of-three series. If you want to get to Omaha, you had better get a national (top 8) seed since those squads will host the Regionals and Super Regionals, assuming they advance.
So why not predict who will get a ticket to the Tournament and who will not? There is still a lot of baseball to be played, but now is as good a time as any to project who will punch that ticket.
